Card grading FAQ

It is an expert evaluation of a card's condition. The card is authenticated, graded from 1 to 10 on its centering, corners, edges and surface, then sealed in a slab with a label showing its grade. A graded card is protected and its condition is clearly documented, which reassures buyers if you resell it.

Pokémon (all sets and languages, including vintage), One Piece Card Game, Dragon Ball (Super Card Game and Dragon Ball Z cards), Yu-Gi-Oh! (TCG and OCG), Magic: The Gathering, as well as sports cards and other collectible card games.

The price depends on how many cards you send and the speed you choose. Standard: ฿270–฿350 per card (cheaper from 5, 10 and 20 cards). Express: ฿595–฿675 per card. VIP: ฿990 per card. The Full Custom option (personalised label) adds ฿150 per card. Return shipping is calculated separately, by country and weight.

Standard: 8–12 business days. Express: 4–6 business days. VIP: 24–48 business hours. Times start when we receive your cards; they are estimates, not guarantees, and do not include return shipping.

Place your order online, put each card in a sleeve and then a rigid top loader, pack them tightly in a sturdy box with your order number, and send the parcel with tracking to the address we email you. Shipping to TGP is paid by the customer.

Thailand (EMS Thailand Post, 1–3 business days, from ฿80) and Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Singapore (Thailand Post ePacket, 7–14 business days, from ฿230). Every parcel has a tracking number, shown in your account.

On a 1 to 10 scale, where 10 is Gem Mint. Four criteria are scored separately: centering, corners, edges and surface. The subgrades and the final grade appear on the online certificate.

Every graded card gets a unique certificate number. Enter it on our Verify page to see the card name, grade, subgrades and front and back photos. If the details don't match the slab label, the card is not genuine.

Yes. Your card comes with a stamped paper certificate showing its name, serial number and grade, certified by TGP. Its certificate can also be checked online on our Verify page, with the subgrades and front and back photos.

No. The TGP slab is sealed: it cannot be opened without breaking it. Any attempt to open it is visible, which protects both the card and its grade.

If a card is confirmed counterfeit or too damaged to evaluate, we notify you and return it ungraded. A partial refund may be issued, minus any authentication and handling costs already incurred.

Once your cards are accepted into the grading queue, fees are non-refundable, even if you change your mind. The only exception is a card we are unable to grade (see the previous question).

While your cards are with us, our Terms provide compensation of up to ฿1,000 per card (or the grading fee paid for that card, if higher), unless a higher value was agreed in writing. For returns within Thailand, you can insure the parcel for ฿600 (covered up to ฿30,000). For valuable cards, we also recommend insuring your shipment to TGP.

Online when you place your order: credit or debit card, Apple Pay or PromptPay, through a secure payment page. All prices are in Thai baht (฿).

In your TGP account: you can follow the progress of each card, then the tracking number of your return parcel as soon as it ships.

A personalised label: you suggest wording or instructions, and TGP designs the final label. It costs ฿150 extra per card. Requests are reviewed by TGP, which may adjust or decline them.

Not necessarily. Each company has its own method, and a grade is a professional opinion of the card's condition at the time of evaluation. TGP does not guarantee that another company will give the same grade, nor the resale value of a graded card.
